ABOUT

Who am I 😃

Me

Hi! My name is Jenny and I'm a software developer.

I was born in Mexico City in the year 96.

I know how to program in several languages, but lately I've been focusing more on web programming and Android programming.

At the age of 13 I made my first video games with Game Maker. I made them as a hobby.

I know how to speak Spanish and English, and I would like one day to learn another language such as: Japanese, French, or German.

I like video games, comedy, mathematics.

I like night more than day. I prefer cloudy days to sunny ones.

My favorite food is green chilaquiles.

I'm a pegasister (brony), and my favorite pony is Fluttershy. /)

🎓 Academic Studies

I am currently studying a Mechatronics Engineering.

Before studying Mechatronics, I studied Computer Engineering at the IPN, which, unfortunately, I had to drop out.

In high school I studied a technical career in Computer Equipment Maintenance.

I have a Master in Web programming and one in Java programming.

At the age of 16, I learned English at TOEFL level 2 in a well-known English school in CDMX called Quick Learning.

😝BEATBOX

I have the ability to make various sounds with my mouth, throat and larynx.

Most of the sounds in my Apps were made by me.

I discovered this ability when I was 11 years old, and since then I have been practicing and improving.

I would like to learn Beatbox but I feel like I don't have rhythm or I'm not good at improvising, so I've never done it as such.

The Beatbox caught my attention thanks to the following video which is by Dave Crowe (my favorite part is the one with the harmonica).

😈 Metal Screams 🤟

As a curiosity, at the age of 11, on Halloween I was going to dress up as a zombie and just that day I learned to make the sound of a zombie (or mummy), which sounded very loud, without investigating anything and without looking for that sound myself. Today I know that sound is called Inhaled Guttural (AKA: Inhale Metal Scream). From that day on, I started looking for other sounds.

With the inhaled guttural I can easily make various animal sounds, such as: barking, meowing, cackling, etc., I can even make the mythical sound that the predator makes.

Currently I know how to do Gutturals (Inhaled and Exhaled), whistle in 4 different ways, and make many different sounds. Lately what I've been practicing is Xöömej (throat singing or Mongolian singing).

In my first university I took a little dubbing course and learned a few breathing techniques and techniques to do different voices. Since that course ended I haven't practiced it anymore... but I know how to do it and how to modulate my voice. The course was not very strict, and it only lasted a few months, so I still consider myself a beginner.

I would like to know about music and play an instrument, because I don't know anything.

Although before I didn't really like the Death Metal genre, today, since the beginning of 2024, I have practically listened to it every day. 😈 I even made a very satanic playlist on Spotify hahaha. I mainly listen to Cannibal Corpse, Belphegor, The Fallen Prophets, Bloodbath and Synlakross.

👾 Video Games

Since I was little I really like playing video games.

I remember that I always wanted to know how they were made, because characters appeared on the television screen and you could control them.

At the age of 13 I made my first video games and I knew that that was what I wanted to dedicate myself to, or something similar to it.

The genres I like the most are: management, survival, roguelike and logic.

MINECRAFT

Minecraft deserves a small exclusive section hehe.😀

Definitely my favorite game in a long time. I've been playing it since 2012.

Thanks to the Minecraft redstone, I learned the basics of digital logic (Digital systems, logic gates, truth tables, programming conditionals, etc.). So Minceraft made learning Programming or digital electronics easier for me.

What I do the most in Minecraft is create more and more efficient mechanisms to achieve different goals. In the community it is known as "Technical Minecraft".

Minecraft has helped me a lot to distract myself in difficult moments.

Minecraft

I know how to play minesweeper since 2012. It's a good game to pass the time, although at first I know it's hard to learn.

My Android app Avoid Them! It's the last video game I've made (It's a minesweeper). This time I didn't use any specialized game development program, I just used code.

There is a comedy version of Harry Potter (only in Spanish) that I like even more than the original movies. 🌟 Cartoons

I have always really liked cartoons or animated series, and from time to time I watch a marathon of one in particular.

My Little Pony (MLP) has everything I like about cartoons: Excellent script, very good soundtrack, references to popular culture, funny moments, memorable moments, chapters aimed at all kinds of audiences, and above all, in the artistic design it is seen that there is a lot of dedication and budget (I also notice this a lot in Gravity Falls).

I don't know why, but since I first saw My Little Pony (MLP), I felt very nostalgic, as if I had seen it before.

Thanks to MLP I met a lot of great people, since MLP has one of the biggest fandoms out there: The Bronies. When I still could, I went to various meetings and conventions in CDMX.

He almost always gave very important advice for life and told funny and / or thoughtful anecdotes. All this while he was playing video games (mostly). He has been a very important and influential person in my life.

😄 Comedians

As I already said in the movies section, I really like comedy.

What I watch the most in entertainment, besides video games, is comedy. Whether they are sketches, parodies, anecdotes, vivecdotas, comic series and memes.

Comedy has been a part of my life for a long time.

As a curiosity: I once considered being a comedian.
