My Second Web Page

My second web page

Created in June 2020.

Made with my recent knowledge in WordPress.

Like my first page, I wanted to do it as quickly as possible. Since Wordpress helps to create web pages quite easy, it didn't take me long.

Next, I show with a video what that page was like.

Although Wordpress offers many design templates, I modified it a lot with both CSS and PHP.

I used a template called Master Blog.

I put this page in place of the first one, that is, it was on the same site: www.jennifergonzalezblog.com, which currently no longer exists.

Much of the information that you see in the video, such as the dates on which I had done my projects, I put them without researching the past very well, so they may not be correct.

The form in the "Contact" section looks different because I obviously didn't code it, but installed a plugin and left it that way. Yes it worked.

What happened after that?

In August 2020, I entered my current University in the Mechatronics Engineering career, which began to consume a lot of time (although the school was temporarily online due to the pandemic).

Right after this page I did research on the internet and learned how to create WordPress plugins. Some time later I learned what Unit Tests are, some design patterns and good programming practices. I also learned how to use Git and Github. This was all before I started programming for Android (which is my next article).

After a few months in February 2021, the annual rent of my domain expired, so my page was no longer online. It wasn't until August 2021 that I was able to repurchase a web domain. I thought about uploading my page again, but at that time I didn't have time and I wanted to create a new page from 0. What I uploaded then as a page was nothing more than a very scanty version of what my second page was, because I thought I would have that page temporarily.

Temporal Page

I also made this temporary page with Wordpress. I uploaded it just so the site wouldn't be empty when someone accessed it.

This page was already on my current site: www.jg36softrware.com.
